The people
Our warehouse and growers employ approximately 200 people living in and around the Jordan Valley, approximately 50% of whom are women. They work on the plantations, packaging, sorting and various management positions. Most of our employees are Palestinians and work with Israelis. Our employees work in safe, modern comfortable facilities, using advanced equipment to BRC Food and GlobalGAP standards. We have also initiated the GRASP certification process and SMETA to demonstrate our commitment to our employees.
Inclusive
Our working method is inclusive. We buy our dates from Israeli and Palestinian farmers from Jericho / Jordan Valley. We also employ Israelis, Palestinians, regardless of gender, nationality, religion or sexual orientation.
Bridge to livelihood
By providing income to 200 families, Palestinians and Israelis, we build a bridge to practical coexistence. We believe that our operations have a positive impact on the livelihoods of people living around us. The political situation in the Jordan Valley is not ideal and there are disagreements on certain issues, but the solution probably lies somewhere in between and not at the extremes. Building bridges for normal life, income and mutual respect are key to regional stability and play an important role in the quality of life for people living in and around the Jordan Valley. By creating jobs, treating people with respect and bringing people together, we believe our Bio Medjoul Dates are part of the solution to creating a better life for the communities around us.
